Police arrest burglary suspects in Woodway

WOODWAY, TX (KXXV) -

Woodway police arrested burglary suspects Friday morning.

Police noticed a suspicious vehicle leaving a neighborhood near Sante Fe and Texas Central.

The police officer performed a routine license plate check and realized the vehicle was stolen from Bellmead.

The two people in the car were taken into custody.

Police say that Ulyssis Lopez was charged with Possession of a Firearm, Theft of a Firearm, and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

The other passenger, Maria Carreon, was charged with Possession of a Firearm, Theft of a Firearm, and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

After investigating, police determined that the individuals were in possession of more stolen property that had been robbed from a vehicle earlier in the day.

Woodway Police are asking anyone with additional information to their whereabouts that day to call police at 254-772-4470.
