A man was arrested for trafficking a 16-year-old girl who, police said, ran away from her Hewitt home in April.
Police said they arrested Johnathan Hines,19, after he was a witness to a motorcycle accident. When they ran his name, they said they discovered there was a warrant out for his arrest.
Police said the victim knew Hines through social media and ran away from home to stay with him.
She said that while she was there, he raped her multiple times.
When she returned home in May, police said her mother brought her to the hospital for forensic tests. The warrant was issued after the tests.
