Two Temple families were displaced after a fire broke out at an apartment complex Saturday night.

Firefighters were called to the Woodbridge Crossing Apartments in the 200 block of Woodbridge Blvd. just after 7:15 p.m. Saturday.

Crews found light smoke coming from the upstairs balcony of the apartment when they arrived on scene. Firefighters found the fire above the ceiling of the first floor.

The upstairs unit received smoke damage and the downstairs unit received smoke and water damage. A small portion of the ceiling in the downstairs unit was removed so crews could extinguish the fire.

Temple Fire and Rescue ruled the fire undetermined. A dollar loss has not been calculated.

A family of four and a family of three were displaced by the fire. Both families are temporarily staying with relatives.

No injures were reported.
