A teenage boy was tied up and choked Wednesday in Gatesville.

According to the affidavit, the teen was visiting a female friend at her grandparents' house. The girl's grandparents were not home at the time.

They were watching a movie when they heard people coming towards the house. The teen hid in the bathroom, and his friend tried to prevent her uncle from finding him.

The teen said he could not tell how many people were in the house while he was hiding.

Once the uncle entered the bathroom, he told the teen, “Yeah, I caught you, Come on.”

The uncle, Mark Barrow, then swept the teen off his feet, threw him on the ground and began to choke him. The teen said he managed to catch his breath, and then he was punched by Barrow.

Barrow told one of the children that had entered the home to grab a rope and a gun.

He then took the rope from the child, but he told the child to put the gun away.

The teen was then tied up and was taken into a truck. Barrow drove the teen to the female friend's home to meet her father.

The father told Barrow to untie the teen once they arrived at the house.

Officials said the father asked the teen where he lived and took him home.

Barrow was charged with aggravated kidnapping and assault.
