WACO, Texas – Baylor basketball has announced a promotion that will discount select season tickets based on Waco’s July 4th low temperature. The July 4th low as shown on weather.com will set the price for Super Fan season tickets for both men’s and women’s basketball.

Weather.com currently projects Waco’s July 4th low temperature at 78 degrees, which would set the season ticket price at $78 each. Super Fan tickets are available in sections 106, 117 and 121 for men’s basketball and sections 106, 107, 119 and 120 for women’s basketball.

The discounted season tickets will be available starting at 8:30 a.m. CT on July 5 and will be sold until 5 p.m. on July 12. Tickets can be purchased at BaylorBears.com/tickets, in person at the Baylor Athletics Ticket Office or by calling 254-710-1000.

Baylor men’s basketball is coming off a school record third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. Head coach Scott Drew enters his 14th season leading the program and returns a trio of fourth-year players with starting experience in Al Freeman, Johnathan Motley and Ishmail Wainright. The Bears were one of 13 teams nationally ranked in the coaches’ poll for the entire 2015-16 season, and the team has finished the season ranked in three consecutive years for the first time in program history.

Baylor women’s basketball returns 11 players off last season’s 36-2 squad that advanced to the NCAA Championship Elite Eight and claimed both the Big 12 Conference’s regular season and tournament championship crowns. Five of last season’s top scorers, including All-American senior forward Nina Davis and senior guard Alexis Jones, return as head coach Kim Mulkey begins her 17th season at Baylor. All told, the Lady Bears return 87.6 percent of their scoring and 79.7 percent of their rebounding from last year’s highly successful season.
