Killeen Police and the FBI have charged a man who tried to evade police.
The incident took place on June 22. Detectives were conducting an investigation of gang-related incidents and stopped a vehicle of interest at the intersection of Old FM 440 and Elms Road.
The driver, 28-year-old Tremayne Darius Voelker, fled from officers and led police in a chase through Killeen and Harker Heights. Voelker then tried to flee on foot.
Voelker was taken into custody and transported to Killeen City Jail. Killeen PD charged him with Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
The investigation is pending.
