Suspect Bit, Captured by Waco K-9 Unit

The Waco K-9 Unit captured a suspect running from McLennan County Sheriffs.

The K-9 unit apprehended Marcus Nichols, 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the 500 block of Harlem Avenue.

Deputies first spotted Nichols, near Faulkner and Dallas street in East Waco, where got away on foot. Waco Police were called to help find Nichols.

The K-9 unit followed Nichols scent, leading officers to vegetation where he was hiding. The suspect suffered a dog bite during the apprehension.

Nichols is now in McLennan County Jail charged with evading, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana.
