Police have arrested a man after he attempted to flee following a shooting in Hamilton County.
According to Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to County Road 208 in Hico, in reference to a man being shot.
The suspect, identified as Tio Sheercon, 39, of Waco, was stopped in a vehicle after the shooting by the Hico Marshal’s Office but escaped on foot.
Officials relocated Jackson on Highway 6 East between Hico and Iredell, riding a bicycle stolen from a Hico business.
Jackson was apprehended by officials and charged with aggravated robbery, theft of a firearm and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Jackson is in Hamilton County Jail on $55,000 bond. There is no word on the condition of the victim.
