A 35-year-old driver was rushed to the hospital after being ejected out of her SUV in a two-vehicle crash in McLennan County on Thursday morning.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said an 80-year-old woman driving west on Hallsburg road (FM 3222) at 9 a.m. tried crossing Hwy 6 to go south.
She told troopers she didn't see the SUV traveling north on Hwy 6 on the left lane.
The 35-year-old woman driving the SUV tried avoiding the car ended up driving off the road to the left. When she corrected to the right, the vehicle went to a side skid and flipped a couple times.
The driver of the SUV who wasn't wearing a seatbelt was ejected out of the windshield sustaining abrasions and a cut to the forehead.
She was transported to Baylor Scott &White Hillcrest Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries.
The 80-year-old driver was ticketed for failing to yield the right away in an intersection.
