Flooding causing crashes, road closures across Central Texas

Morning storms have led to reports of several crashes across Central Texas along with road closures.

At least one vehicle was stuck in high water on Cottonwood Lane in Temple along with a crash on Highway 190 in Killeen.

TxDOT also said main lanes of I-35 near FM 1237 and Pendelton Road have been closed due to water over the road.

Access roads are open, heavy rain is causing slowdowns both directions through all of Bell County and up to Bruceville-Eddy.

Fort Hood officials have closed Georgetown Road and East Range Road due to high water crossing the road. All traffic has been diverted to Farm and Market Road 116.

FM 3090 Coleman’s Bottom, flooded and damaged

FM 1227 at Grassy Creek closed, bridge damage

FM 1774 at Buffalo Bottom, flooded

WASHINGTON

FM 2935 is closed from Tommelson Creek to Newman Lane, damage

FM 1155 is closed from Hughes Lake to Old Plantation, damage

FM 390 is closed near FM 1935, bridge damage

FM 389 is closed between Sandy Creek Lane and S Berlin Road, damage

FM 2780 is closed between Flag Pond Road and Faist Road, culvert washouts

FM 1948 is closed from Yegua Creek to Rock Creek Park, lake is backed over road

FM 2193 is closed Copeland Springs to Flewellen Road, damage

FM 2621 is closed, culvert washout

FM 1155 is closed between Buck Road and Kolkhorst Road, damage

FM 912 is closed, bridge damage

BS 36 from FM 577 to Academy St, culvert washout  

FM 50 is closed at Rocky Creek, one-lane traffic control, bridge damage

BURLESON

FM 976 is closed FM 60 to SH 36

FM 50 is closed at Clay, culvert washout

FM 2774 is closed, culvert washout

LEON

FM 1848 is closed at Buffalo Creek, flooded

Madison, Walker, Robertson, Freestone, and Milam Counties highways are clear
