Threat for Saturday Evening Storms

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is in effect for the far western areas of Central Texas until 11 PM Saturday. It includes the cities of San Saba and Goldthwaite. It DOES NOT include the majority of us in Waco, Temple, or Killeen.

Main threats tonight will be large hail and damaging winds, along with lots of lightning and heavy rain. The tornado threat is very low.

Storms are expected to fire farther west near San Angelo and in the northern parts of the Hill Country. These storms will push east through the evening but will gradually weaken as they move into our region. More afternoon storms are possible Sunday and Memorial Day so stay alert!
