Police arrived on scene looking for a shooter, but instead found a stoner.

The Groesbeck Police Department arrived at an area mobile home park after a man had called in to report that he had been shot in the buttocks.

During the course of the investigation, police determined that the victim had been smoking marijuana on the porch as a thunderstorm passed through the area.

The loud thunder from the storm scared one of the dogs, causing it to nip him in the left buttocks.

This led him to believe he’d been shot.

He was treated at the scene by EMS and released.
