COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 2 Texas A&M Aggies are once again involved in the premier series of the weekend as they host the No. 6 Ole Miss Rebels on Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

This marks the Aggies’ fourth top 10 opponent in the last six weekends, going a combined 9-3 in the 12 games.

The final series of the regular-season will have deep impact on the final SEC standings. Texas A&M and Mississippi State are tied atop the SEC Western Division with 18-9 league ledgers. Ole Miss and LSU are one game back at 17-10. Florida leads in the SEC overall standings at 18-8 with South Carolina lingering at 17-9.

Both squads had a misstep in midweek play on Tuesday with Texas A&M falling 5-0 to Sam Houston State and Ole Miss dropping an 8-6 contest at Arkansas State.

On the mound, Texas A&M ranks fourth in the nation in shutouts (9), ninth in strikeouts per nine innings (9.2), 10th in strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.91) and 18th in ERA (3.17).
