Texas A&M Travels to South Carolina for Top 10 Series

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 2 Texas A&M Aggies head to Columbia for their last road series of the season. The Maroon and White are playing their fourth series against a Top 10 opponent in the last seven weeks as they face the No. 8 South Carolina Gamecocks.

The Aggies have won 15 of their last 18, including winning five of six on the road. South Carolina enters the weekend tied with Florida on top of the SEC standings with a 16-7 league ledger. Texas A&M is a half-game back at 16-8.

BOOMER WHITE ranks second in the nation in batting average (.441) and hits (82) heading into the series. J.B. MOSS enters the fray ranked 11th in the nation in runs with 45. HUNTER MELTON ranks 13th in the nation with 57 RBI. White is hitting .520 (51-for-98) in 24 league games.

On the mound, Texas A&M ranks sixth in the nation in shutouts (8) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.13), ninth in strikeouts per nine innings (9.3) and 17th in ERA (3.07).

Saturday’s and Sunday’s contests are set to air on the SEC Network. David Neal (play-by-play) and Chris Burke (color analyst) will be on the call. All three games can be seen via the WatchESPN app with credentials required through respective cable providers.
