McLennan baseball holding stead in NJCAA poll

The McLennan baseball team remains third in the latest Marucci Sports NJCAA Division I Baseball Poll released today by the NJCAA. 
 
Santa Fe (Florida) continues to hold the top spot, followed by Chattahoochee Valley (Alabama) in second. Neosho County (Kansas) is fourth and Walters State (Tennessee) is fifth.
 
San Jacinto (10th), Navarro (13th) and Grayson (20th) are the only other Texas teams in the poll. Midland is receiving votes. Panola dropped out of the poll this week.
 
The Highlanders have an overall record of 45-10 and claimed the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Championship with a 25-7 record. They will face New Mexico Military at 1 p.m. Friday in the opening round of the Region V Tournament in Lubbock.
