We are starting off muggy on this Monday morning with plenty of clouds and temperatures in the upper 60s/low 70s. There could be a few showers this morning so make sure to grab the umbrella! If you see any rain this morning, it will be light.

We should get a nice break from the rain through the middle of the day. It will still be cloudy and muggy. Temperatures will warm to around 80° by lunchtime. Winds will be breezy too, out of the south about 15-25mph. As we head into the late afternoon, that's when we are expecting a chance for some more storm development.

We will track a dryline move in from the west on this warm and muggy Monday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s. Wherever the dryline stops, well that will be the focal point for storms this afternoon. That is the biggest question mark with the forecast today--how far east will the dryline push? The way it looks now shows the highest chance for storms along and east of I-35. Not everyone will see storms, but where they do spark up they will easily become strong to severe. Our main concerns with these storms will be frequent lightning, locally heavy downpours, hail, and strong winds. Keep and eye on the weather with us this afternoon!

Quick Monday overview:

  • Light morning showers
  • Dry through lunchtime, but breezy and warm
  • Storm chance this afternoon, mainly along & east of I-35
  • Highs in the mid to upper 80s
  • Storm this afternoon could produce: lightning/thunder, strong winds, large hail, locally heavy rain
