Waco police are investigating the death of woman found in the front seat of her car in February as a homicide.
Police said it is the the first murder of 2016 in Waco.
Unekeyia Shanta Walker, 29, was found dead on Feb. 4 partially clothed in the driver's seat of her SUV. She was parked outside her home in the 1900 block of North 15th Street home.
Waco Police Sgt. Patrick Swanton told News Channel 25 an autopsy showed the woman had been strangled and she also had blunt force injuries to her body.
There have been no arrests made in the case yet, but Swanton said they have identified a person of interest in the case that they want to question.
The investigation is ongoing.
