A McLennan County jury found Bryan Barnes guilty on one count of indecency with a child.
The jury opted not to find Barnes guilty of aggravated sexual assault,but the lesser charge of indecency with a child.
The jury will meet again Friday morning to make a sentencing decision for Barnes.
The initial allegations said he engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with a seven year old girl three times in June of 2013.
Prior to the deliberation phase, both sides presented their closing arguments today.
The defense argued the allegations were driven by the defendant’s ex-wife who coached the child.
The prosecution however argued the little girl's testimony was too consistent and detailed for it to be a lie.
