McLennan softball's Gonzales signs Lettter of Intent

McLennan Community College softball catcher Andrea Gonzales signed a National Letter of Intent today, solidifying her plans to continue her academic and athletic career next fall.
 
Gonzales, a sophomore from Elgin, signed with the University of Texas at Tyler. This season, Gonzales has a .377 batting average with seven doubles and 28 RBIs. She recorded a .352 batting average with 13 doubles and 40 RBIs as a freshman to earn first-team all-conference honors and was named a Texas Junior College Softball Coaches Association All-Star.

    The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s golf team fired its lowest round of the tournament on the final day as the Cru finished in third place at the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational Tuesday in Florida. The Cru women lowered their score in each of the tournament’s three rounds. UMHB posted a final round 312 to finish with a 323-315-312=950.
