Woman arrested five years after murder of ex-husband

MEXIA, TX (KXXV) -

A 59-year-old woman is behind bars, five years after the death of her ex-husband.

Mexia police arrested Mary Elizabeth Jacoby on Friday and charged her with murder in connection the the 2011 death of her ex-husband, Raymond Jacoby.

Raymond died of an early morning gunshot wound in front of his business in the 100 block of W. Titus Street in Mexia.

An issue for the suspect's arrest was issued on Wednesday

Her bond has been set at $250,000 and she is now in the Limestone County Jail.
