Woman faces citation after dog bite

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

A woman is facing a citation after her dog bit a man, sending him to the hospital.

Police said around 9:50 a.m. a labrador bit a man riding his bicycle on the 1900 block of 15th street on Monday. The victim, who’s name has not been released, is expected to be ok, but was transported to Hillcrest to treat the bite.

According to animal control, the dog got out of the owner's fence. The dog owner will face a citation for not having control of the animal.

    An independent investigation into the death of University of Maryland football player Jordan McNair has determined that trainers on the scene did not follow proper procedures after he collapsed on the field.
