$2 million worth of meth found in mango shipment

Authorities at the US-Mexico border, seized over two million dollar’s worth of Methamphetamine, that was smuggled in on a shipment of mangoes.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Pharr International Bridge in Pharr, Texas found 38 packages of the drug weighing in at 107 pounds.  

 “Our officers accomplished this great discovery of hard narcotics within a produce shipment by working as a team, and utilizing all available tools and resources at their disposal,” said Port Director Efrain Solis Jr.

OFO said the drugs were concealed within the commercial mango produce shipment. Homeland Security is still investigating the case.
