Texas A&M’s Corp of Cadets will be hosting the 40th annual March to the Brazos in support of the March of Dimes’ efforts to aid children and families in the Brazos Valley.

More than 2,300 cadets will march 18 miles through campus to the Texas A&M’s Animal Science Teaching, Research and Extension Complex.

There the cadets will participate in various events, have lunch and then return to campus.

March to the Brazos is the largest student-led fundraiser for the March of Dimes in the United States, raising over $2.9 million between 1977 and 2015.

With this year’s contributions, the overall total will be pushed over the $3 million mark.
