WACO, TX (KXXV) -

Waco Police are searching for a male suspect after a woman was cut during an aggravated robbery.

The crime happened Monday around 3:30 p.m. at the Valero at 17th and I-35.

Police said the 19-year-old victim was in her car in the parking lot with the suspect approached her car.

He pulled the teen out of her car and demanded money.

When she refused to give in to his demands, the man pulled the box cutter out and slashed her across her midsection.

The injury caused her to drop her money, which the suspect then picked up and fled with on foot.

Police said the woman received numerous stitches to close her wound.

The suspect was described as a man in his late 50s, around 5'9" with a thin build and mustache. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.

Officials are asking anyone who may have witnessed the attack to contact Waco Police at 254-750-7500
