A McLennan County Judge sentenced a former Crawford police officer to 10 years of deferred adjudication for indecency with a child by contact.
William Geoffrey Byrom, 29, was accused of touching a child under the age of 17 inappropriately in 2012.
When the allegations surfaced in 2014, Byrom was placed on administrative leave and soon fired from the Crawford Police Department.
