Polyglass U.S.A announced plans to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing operation in Waco.
The company will invest $19 million in the 145,000 square foot facility located at 1701 Exchange.
Employment will reach 45 full time associates within the first three years of operations.
“Polyglass is excited to open its fifth American manufacturing facility in Waco,” Natalino Zanchetta, CEO of Polyglass U.S.A., Inc, said. “We chose Waco as our next location because of the outstanding support from the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, the centralized location and the pool of talented people in the surrounding communities.”
The Polyglass roofing facility will produce a water-proof membrane system that is used for commercial and industrial roofing systems. These membranes increase roof life expectancy.
They are also environmentally friendly and energy efficient.
“Being centrally located, having adequate infrastructure and a strong workforce helps us attract excellent companies like Polyglass,” Judge Scott Felton said. “The county looks forward to working with them and helping them expand to a larger company in the future.”
The City of Waco and McLennan County leadership have voted in favor of economic development incentives for Polyglass. They will receive a grant and tax abatement participation by the city and county.
