Fort Hood Directorate of Public Works Environmental officials will host their 2016 Fort Hood Earth Day event and tree planting from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on April 15 at the pavilion area behind Fort Hood's Rod & Gun Club.
The event begins with a recognition and proclamation signing, which will be followed by a Tree Planting Ceremony.
Nearly 675 students from Killeen Independent School District's elementary schools will participate in the event, as well as some students from Copperas Cove ISD.
