A Waco man is facing charges for killing his wife - 23 years after her death.
Thomas Kolar pleaded guilty Tuesday to manslaughter in a plea deal. The 56-year-old was sentenced to 15 years in prison for strangling his wife to death on July 20, 1991.
He was originally arrested hours after the murder of his 27-year-old wife, but he was freed due to lack of evidence.
Kolar had called his wife’s murder a suicide.
Waco Police re-created the investigation file for the case because a previous DA had lost the file.
