RIESEL, TX (KXXV) -

Temple police are investigating a home invasion that happened early Tuesday morning.

At 4:45 a.m. officers responded to a house on the 500 block of East Union Avenue after they were told two armed suspects had forced their way through the front door.

The homeowner told police she and her daughter heard their front door getting kicked in. When they went to check it out, they saw two men with black hoodies and masks in their living room. 

Both men had dark colored hand guns and neither spoke a word.

The homeowner and her daughter hid in the bedroom and dialed 911. 

The suspects were gone by the time police arrived. It is unknown whether anything was taken from the house.

The incident is still under investigation.
