TxDot will begin a project to upgrade FM 1637 northwest of Waco.
The work will begin April 4.
The project spans over 4.3 miles and will widen the road into four-lanes with a raised median from Steinbeck Bend Dr to Wortham Bend Rd.
Work on the road will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some work on Saturdays is possible.
The project will cost $27.8 million and is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2018.
