    The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is set to temporarily close portions of US 190 Monday, March 28 to Thursday, March 31, weather permitting.

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

TxDot will begin a project to upgrade FM 1637 northwest of Waco.

The work will begin April 4.

The project spans over 4.3 miles and will widen the road into four-lanes with a raised median from Steinbeck Bend Dr to Wortham Bend Rd. 

Work on the road will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some work on Saturdays is possible.

The project will cost $27.8 million and is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2018.

TxDot warns people to expect temporary delays.
