**Watching Florence**
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are First Alert Weather Days as we monitor the track of Florence. A land falling storm in the Mid-Atlantic is likely.

While a wind threat remains, especially Friday and Saturday, the biggest concerns on Florence's current track appear to be flooding.  Both from rain and from a storm surge at the coast. Rain totals of 6-10" will be possible across southern Virginia, and perhaps higher amounts depending on the track. Heaviest rain will focus Friday and Saturday

Amounts for metro RVA will ultimately depend on the remnant low track.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy, warm and humid with an increasing chance of rain developing towards evening.  Lows in the low 70s, highs in the mid 80s. (Rain Chance: 50% day, then 80% overnight)

FRIDAY: Rain and wind will depend on track of Florence, which is expected to stall over northern North Carolina. Lows in the low 70s, highs near 80. (Rain Chance: at least 80%). Heavy rain and wind likely Friday night.

SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy skies. Rain and wind will depend upon the ultimate track of Florence. Lows low 70s, highs upper 70s. (Rain Chance: 70%)

SUNDAY: Continued rain chance, but some sun and  much less wind. Lows low 70s, highs near 80. (Rain chance 50%)

MONDAY: Partly sunny, showers still possible. Lows lower 70s, highs mid 80s. (Rain chance 40%)

TUESDAY: Partly sunny. Shower chance. Lows near 70, highs lower 80s.
