UPDATE: Missing elderly woman with Alzheimer's found safe

KILLEEN, TX (KXXV) - UPDATE: A 71-year-old woman reported missing Sunday was found safe Monday morning.

Police report Juliet Bernadette Son was found about 7 a.m. in the area of Alabaster and Obsidian Dr. Someone recognized Son and stayed with her in their car while they waited for officers to arrive.

Son was taken to the Seton Medical Center Harker Heights as a precaution, but appeared to be fine.


The Killeen Police Department is asking for the public's help to find a missing elderly woman with Alzheimer's.

71-year-old Juliet Bernadette Son's family reported her missing Sunday. She was last seen walking near the area of Serpentine Dr. and Obsidian Dr., just after 5 p.m., while wearing a blue shirt with white stripes, brown pants, and a brown hat with flowers.

Son is described as 5-foot-2 and weighs about 120 pounds. Her family tells police she has Alzheimer's and also takes medication for other medical issues. Police say she was not wearing glasses when she left.

Killeen PD asks anyone who finds Juliet Son to call 911 immediately.
