Six Arrested in 3-day Highway Drug Interdiction Program

Waco Police Department's Street Crimes Unit concluded a three-day Highway Drug Interdiction operation early Sunday morning.

The operation's goal was to arrest drug offenders using I-35 as a drug route. Six people were arrested over the course of the three-day operation on a total of 17 charges, 12 of which were drug-related.

The charges were as follows:

1 Delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 –over 4 gms. (powder cocaine)
3 Possession of marijuana under 2 oz.
1 Possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 –Over 1 gm (Cannabis extract)
1 Possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 –under 1 gm (Methadone)
1 Possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 –under 1 gm (Hydromorphone)
1 Possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 – under 28 gms. (Hydrocodone)
1 Possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 –under 28 gms. (Tramadol)
1 Possession of a dangerous drug (Flexiril)
1 Possession of a dangerous drug (Quetiapine)
1 Possession of drug paraphernalia
2 Enhanced driving with license invalid
3 McLennan Co. S.O. traffic warrants.

Waco PD called the operation a success and said it will be repeated in the future without warning, for obvious reasons.
