Man accused of trying to pull woman through car window

WACO, TX (KXXV) - Police have arrested a man accused of grabbing a woman through a car window and trying to drag her out of the car.

Paul Jakorey White has been charged with assault bodily injury, and his bond is set at $100,000.

Waco police spokesperson Steve Anderson says this arrest is in connection with an incident that occurred just before 4:45 p.m. on August 8, in the 800 block of Dallas St. in Waco.

According to Anderson, White was scheduled to pick up his child for visitation and they were late. When they finally arrived, White approached their vehicle.

The mother told police that it was a very hot day and she told White that if he did not have a car, she would not let the child walk out in the hot weather. White then reportedly became angry and is accused of reaching through the car window, punching the woman, then trying to drag her out of the car.

A witness to this incident assisted, and police say White then fled. Officers obtained a warrant for White's arrest and he was picked up on Sunday, August 24.
