Man seriously hurt after tractor accident near Oglesby

A 20-year-old man suffered serious and potentially life-threatening injuries after it seems he was struck by his own tractor.

Coryell Memorial Healthcare system, Oglesby Fire Dept. and Gatesville Fire Dept. arrived at Jordan Road near Oglesby, just west of McGregor, after 4:45 p.m.

Coryell Memorial EMS Director Jeffrey Mincy said the victim was awake and communicating, but had serious injuries to his chest and shoulder where the tractor drove over him. Authorities have identified the man as Ceasar Rodriguez.

He was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple with serious injuries.

EMS officials from Coryell Memorial Healthcare believe the man was the owner of the tractor, but it's not known how he lost control.

The Coryell County Sheriff's Office will not investigate because it appears the incident was accidental.
