Original Story from July 14:

Police are searching for three robbery suspects who assaulted two employees while robbing a Waco tool store at gunpoint Saturday night.

According to police, a Harbor Freight employee was taking out the trash Saturday night, when three men pistol-whipped him and forced him back into the store so they could rob it. Someone saw the robbery happening, and called 911.

The initial investigation shows the three men forced the employee back into the store. They then assaulted a female employee inside the store, before forcing another female employee to open the safe at gunpoint. They made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Just before 10 p.m., officers responded to the robbery at the Harbor Freight store in the 3900 block of Bosque Blvd. in Waco. Responding officers saw the suspects fleeing in a vehicle from the back of the store. Officers chased after the car, but lost it on a gravel road off of Old Marlin Hwy.

The car was again found east of Waco, but they were able to get away from officers once again. The vehicle is described as a tan or gold 4-door vehicle.

The suspects were all described as thin to medium build, wearing all black clothing, ski masks and gloves. Two of the suspects are white and the third is black. Police say they all had handguns.

Waco PD is asking anyone with information about this robbery to call Waco Police or Crime Stoppers at 754-HELP. Callers do not have to reveal their identities. They also want to remind citizens to be observant at stores, especially around closing times, and report any suspicious behavior to 911.
