Man pleads guilty to murder, gets 45 years

WACO - A man accused of a 2012 Waco murder has pleaded guilty, and was given 45 years TDC.

Julius Carter Lozano was arrested in Irving back in 2012 for a Waco murder. He pleaded guilty to killing 31-year-old Joshua Baldridge, of Waco, after a party in the 2400 block of Colonial on May 5, 2012.

Officers responded to find Baldridge dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Police believe that the two had gotten into an argument after drinking at the party prior to the shooting. Lozano then fled in his car and was missing, until he was found in North Texas.

“The sentence in this case brings long overdue closure and justice to Josh Baldridge , his family, and friends, ” said Assistant District Attorney Chris Bullajian, in a statement from the McLennan County District Attorney's Office.
