Woman arrested, one at-large after leaving daughter behind during ER theft

WACO - UPDATE: Dana Lynn Goodnature has been sentenced to 18 months in state jail, then probated for four years, for charges of possession of meth. She still faces charges on the hospital incident.

A 29-year-old woman is in custody and another is at-large after the woman left her 12-year-old daughter behind as she stole from the Providence Health Center Emergency Room.

Waco police say they were called to Providence Monday night after a doctor noticed two women taking medical supplies from an ER treatment room. The two women were there with a 12-year-old girl.

The items that were being stolen include: gloves, gauze, saline solution, and an oxygen sensor.

The doctor called security, and when they arrived, one of the women fled, leaving her daughter behind. The girl is now in the custody of CPS.

The other woman, identified as Dana Lynn Goodnature, has been charged with theft over $500, but under $1,500. She is being held on $2,000 bond after being booked into the McLennan County Jail.

Police are still searching for the other woman, who will face charges of theft and abandoning a child.
