Local Pizza Hut robbed at gunpoint Thursday night

Police are searching for the man who robbed a Waco Pizza Hut at gunpoint late Thursday night.

The Pizza Hut located in the 600 block of N. Valley Mills Dr. was robbed as employees were closing the store at 11:20 p.m. Thursday, July 10. Police say the robber forced his way into the back door of the restaurant. He had a handgun and ordered all of the employees to stay on the ground.

He made off with an undisclosed amount of money from the restaurant, before fleeing on foot, heading north. No injuries were reported during the robbery.

The robber is described as a light skinned black man in his mid-twenties, with a mustache and a mole or birthmark on his outer left ankle. He is about 5-foot-9 and weighs about 190 pounds, and was wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and a blue bandana was covering his face at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Waco PD or Crime Stoppers at 753-HELP. Callers do not have to give their identities.
