Space-X moves forward in plans for South Texas launchpad

The federal government has given Space-X the green light to build a launchpad in South Texas.

The FAA says there are no significant environmental risks if the company decides to build the world's first commercial vertical launch facility in Boca Chica Beach.

Now, Space-X will have to apply for licenses for specific shuttles to take off from there, including the Falcon 9 spacecraft.

Starting in 2025, the company plans to launch 12 spacecraft per year.

Space-X has a development facility in McGregor.
