Belton man, 19, killed in Tuesday I-35 wreck

TEMPLE - A 19-year-old Belton man had died from injuries he received in a three vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday night in Temple. Temple PD spokesman Christopher Wilcox says the victim has been identified as Victor Tabullo.

The accident happened about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, on I-35 southbound, near mile marker 297, not far from Midway Rd. Investigating officers report Tabullo was the driver of a Mazda pickup, and tried to change lanes. While doing this, he collided with a Nissan SUV carrying four people.

The driver of the SUV was able to keep control of his vehicle, but the pickup went out of control, spun, then hit the back of an 18-wheeler that was disabled on the shoulder.

Tabullo was transported to Scott & White Hospital with very serious injuries, and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Those in the Nissan SUV and the 18-wheeler were not seriously injured. Police say Tabullo was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
