Scientology Volunteer Ministers team up with Los Topos and CINAT (Circulo National de Auxiliadores TechnicosColombias National Circle of Assistance Technicians) to help keep the Brazil Games Safe

(PRWEB) July 08, 2014

Behind the scenes in any major sports event or festival are the men and women whose work is only noticed in its absencewhen civil disorder breaks out. And with Mays riots in Sao Paolo and Rio on the eve of the World Cup Games, there were those who predicted the worst was yet to come. A team of skilled volunteers whose know-how has been tested in the worst natural disasters on Earth was welcomed into the ranks of the security forces to help train volunteers and make the games the international success they deserve to be. The Scientology Volunteer Ministers of Latin America and Los Topos are working in tandem with CINAT (Colombias National Circle of Assistance Technicians) to help maintain the calm of the Games.

What singles out these men and women is their extraordinary skill at bringing order and calm in the wake of chaos, forged in the crucible of the aftermath of the 2001 World Trade Center attacks and tested in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake and again in post-tsunami Japan in 2011 and in site after site ever since.

Los Topos means the Moles by which the International Rescue Brigade of Tlateloco Azteca, Mexico is known. They earned the name by burrowing deep underground to rescue disaster victims from collapsed buildings and structures. The Latin American Scientology Volunteer Ministers, headquartered in Mexico City, first met Los Topos in Haiti, where they worked together to rescue 19 victims trapped under collapsed buildings. They formed an official alliance and volunteers of both groups are now trained in both the Los Topos technology of search and rescue and the Volunteer Ministers technology developed by Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard. Likewise, the Volunteer Ministers have trained in the civil defense technology of CINAT, and CINAT members have trained as Volunteer Ministers.

In preparation for the World Cup Games, they worked together to train volunteers in crowd control, basic first aid and search and rescue skills, in the hopes that with everyone prepared for the worst, the games would proceed without incident.

So, in that same spirit of cooperation and support, and with the confrontations on the field of play and not in the stands or on the streets, with the help of these dedicated volunteers, let the Games go on!

The Volunteer Ministers program was expressly intended for use by Scientologists and non-Scientologists alike. Anyone of any culture or creed may train as a Volunteer Minister and use these tools to help their families and communities. And all are welcome to do so.

Equipped with effective technology to resolve virtually any difficulty, Volunteer Ministers live by the motto: No matter the problem, something can be done about it.

Transcending all ethnic, cultural and religious boundaries, the Volunteer Ministers program is there for anyone in need of help. Volunteer Ministers training is available free of charge through the Scientology Volunteer Ministers website to anyone who wishes to help others.

The Church of Scientology has published a new brochure, Scientology How We Help: Scientology Volunteer MinistersSomething Can be Done About It, to meet requests for more information about the program. To learn more or read a copy of the brochure, visit the Scientology website.

In creating the Volunteer Ministers program, L. Ron Hubbard wrote, If one does not like the crime, cruelty, injustice and violence of this society, he can do something about it. He can become a Volunteer Minister and help civilize it, bring it conscience and kindness and love and freedom from travail by instilling into it trust, decency, honesty and tolerance.
