Police seek men who stole $20,000 in jewelry

KILLEEN - Police are hoping the public can help them find two men accused of stealing $20,000 worth of jewelry from a Killeen jewelry store back in May.

Killeen PD officers were called out to K's Jewelers at 4 p.m. May 6, about a reported theft. An employee told officers that around 7:30 p.m. on May 5, two men came into the store and stole 12 rings. One of the men distracted the employee, while the other man reached over the unlocked display case and took two trays of bridal rings.

The twelve rings that were stolen had a total value of about $20,000. Attached to this story is surveillance footage of the two men during the theft.

    A Temple police officer is hospitalized after an accident involving his patrol car in an I-35 construction zone.At about 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, police say an SUV barreled through a construction zone near mile marker 282 near Salado.It plowed into the back of a Temple patrol car.
