WACO, TX (KXXV) - One member of a family accused of growing and distributing high-grade marijuana has pleaded guilty.

Conner Koss faces up to 40 years and prison and $2 million in fines.

Federal prosecutors say Conner, his brother Chad, his mother Leanne and his father Phillip grew the drugs in California, then conspired to sell more than 50 kilos of it near the Baylor campus.

McGregor police arrested all four of them in December 2013.

Conner Koss will be sentenced on August 20.

The rest of his family are set for trial on August 14.

A friend of the Koss family, Brian Smith, has also started the paper work for a plea deal.
