UPDATE: Suspect in stabbing death outside Waco cafe arrested in South Texas

WACO, TX (KXXV) - UPDATE: The U.S. Marshals Task Force out of San Antonio have arrested a 35-year-old man who is wanted for the murder of a 19-year-old man outside The Gospel Cafe earlier this month.

Michael Morgan was arrested in Gonzales County, TX, for the stabbing death of Tamar Deion Hinley on June 13. He is waiting to be brought back to McLennan County.

The stabbing occurred sometime after noon on June 13, in the 1000 block of Cleveland Ave., after police say two men got in an argument about a woman being hit by a car door. Officers arrived on the scene and found that Tamar Hinley had been stabbed in the chest by another man.

Police say Hinley and Morgan were arguing while inside The Gospel Cafe, when the argument got physical, and the men then took it outside. They were fighting in the street, when Morgan allegedly stabbed Hinley in the chest.

Hinley was seriously wounded and taken to a local hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The stabbing suspect fled the scene on foot, and Morgan was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Gonzales County later in June. Special Crimes, Victim Services and Waco Crime Scene Unit helped in the investigation.
