Man convicted of sexual abuse at Ft. Hood court-martial

FORT HOOD - A 23-year-old Fort Hood soldier was convicted of two charges of abusive sexual contact for an incident in March 2013.

PFC Perry Lavonmayo Davis of Bravo Battery, 4th Battalion, 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, was convicted at a special court-martial on June 17.

He was sentenced to 30 days of confinement and reduced in rank to Pvt.

According to the Fort Hood Press Center, the incident Davis was convicted of happened on March 9, 2013, in a Killeen apartment.

Fort Hood Officials say they are is committed to an active and responsive Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program, and continually work to identify ways to prevent sexual assault, as well as respond appropriately should the crime occur.
