Police arrest man for assault in Killeen

KILLEEN, TX (KXXV) - Police have arrested a 29-year-old Killeen man accused of assaulting a woman, then threatening her with a gun.

James Armando Perez has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and felon in possession of a firearm. His bond has been set at $150,000 total for the charges.

Police say officers were called out to a home in the 2700 block of Cross Timber Dr. in Killeen at 3:30 a.m. Friday, June 20, about a domestic disturbance.

Officer responded and found that the woman was injured. Perez was then arrested and charged with the assault.

Police did not reveal further details about the alleged assault.
