KILLEEN, TX (KXXV) - A 27-year-old man who has been on the run for nine months was picked up Thursday morning in connection with a September 2013 shooting in Killeen.

Marcus Leroy White has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and failure to identify as a fugitive. His bond has been set at $205,000 total for the charges.

Police say the shooting occurred about 4:30 a.m. September 1, 2013, at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Old 440, when two men went to an apartment there. White was inside the apartment and told them to leave, and then chased them out of the apartment.

White is accused of shooting both the men during this incident. They were transported to Darnall Army Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. They both survived.

Police obtained an arrest warrant shortly thereafter, and had been seeking White ever since.
