WACO, TX (KXXV) - Police have arrested a man, two women, and a 14-year-old accused of robbing three Central Texas HEB stores of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise on Sunday, June 8.

Curtis Gene Mackey, 34, June Lapria Norton, 33, and Deaundra Lasshay Rivers, 27, have all been charged with aggravated robbery and engaging in organized crime. Their bond was set at $60,000 each. Police say the 14-year-old was also charged with engaging in organized crime.

According to Sgt. Patrick Swanton with Waco PD, police were called out to the HEB on Valley Mills Dr. around 3:20 p.m., about a robbery. The suspects went into the store carrying reusable shopping bags, and went to the electronics section, where they filled their bags with DVDs and tried to leave the store.

According to witnesses, three people were trying to flee the store with the stolen merchandise, when customers tried to barricade the suspects in with their vehicles.

Police say the suspects then threatened to shoot the surrounding people, and one of the suspects rammed into another vehicle. Mackey, Norton, Rivers, and the 14-year-old were all taken into custody.

Sgt. Swanton believes the suspects are from the Austin area, and have been involved in similar operations there. They also robbed HEB stores in Woodway and Belton. Police say preliminary reports show that the stolen property totals are in the thousands.
