18-year-old accused of punching disabled person

WACO, TX (KXXV) - Police have arrested an 18-year-old accused of punching a disabled person who was trying to break up a fight he was involved in back in May.

De'Marco Ta'Vore Lee faces a charge of injury to a disabled person after police investigated, got a warrant, and arrested Lee at Waco High School Thursday, May 26.

According to Sgt. Patrick Swanton with Waco PD, this occurred on May 17, on the Waco River Walk about 6:45 p.m. Lee and another 17-year-old boy got in a fight. Officers were told the fight started after Lee jumped the other person.

The sister and mother of the other person involved in the fight tried to break it up, when Lee is accused of punching the disabled mother of the 17-year-old he was fighting, in the face. Police say the victim wears leg braves. Lee fled the scene after the alleged punch.
